This appliqué was part of an instagramm challenge #virusapplique. The rules where:

1) Everyday the moderator told which is the animal of the day and you suppose to make a paper appliqué of that  animal

2) You must make a time-lapse video of your work

I have been working with this technique for 10 years and I love it. The real challenge for me was to make a video and to post my work online. This was the first time that I filmed the process of my work. Inspite the fact that I am an artist, I am very shy.

But I did it and since then I started showing more art online and more process.

I never by paper for my appliqes. I like to use second hand material.  I don't throw away any paper bags or gift raps. I even collect them from my friends. 

This Gorilla was made out of Zara paper bag.
